• Hello all,

I am quite new to wordpress, have done 3 installs so far and I am looking for a bit of help, or even a push in the right direction.

What I am trying to do is create a custom install.

The reason for this script is becuase I will be creating quite a few websites over the next couple of months, all with the same structure. Obviously the images, banners and content will be different but the underlying format will be the same.

I want to set up a wordpress site with a few pre-made pages, such as privacy, contact us etc. that will have a few plugins installed and configured. The plugins will be for seo, contact page, the usual sort of things.

Can anyone give me a few pointers on how I should go about this?

    Thanks in advance

  • You could Eport the pages and Import them for each site.
As for the Plugins you can put them into the set of files yo are copying from.

but as far as making it totally automatic so that the website is set up with one click, do you know do many people do this through custom install scripts?

I’m hoping for a few examples so that I have a starting point.

That’s why they give you the big bucks. You will have to write something yourself.
