Moving WordPress Within Your Site
This includes changing its URL, which is essentially what you are doing by changing the directory name.
oh snap! I changed these to
WordPress address (URI) Smartchoicedesign.info/Blog
Blog address (URI) Smartchoicedesign.info/Blog
And I totally screwed everything up, how do I get back to default QUICK!!!!
if you are changing your directory name. the remeber to take back up of database and all other root files, then create new folder like
abcd.com/blog/ and then put all files and install wordpress again and connect already created database.
I have created folders like with hyphens also for my site also.
So you said I should back-up my data. then create a new directory called “blog” then move all the files from /wordpress to /blog?
yes….I have already done that ….but at that time my blog was only 2 months old so i didnt have much data….
