How to change thumbnail caption style

Hello,

Quick question:

Is there a way to change the thumbnail caption style (i.e. color, font, padding) in the gallery mode?
I tried manually changing the CSS but couldn’t seem to override the actual CSS.

Also, is there a way to disable the hover zoom effect when hovering over a gallery thumbnail photo?
