How to change the default language?

    Hello there,

    When I enabled the plug-in, I set the original language to “Spanish”. Then I added a second language which is “Catalan”.

    Now I need to set the Catalan language as the default language.

    Is there a way to get this? I see that I can reorder the language, but I see no way to change the ‘default language’.

    Hello there,

    Thank you for reaching out to us!

    Changing the default language will invalidate existing translations. We can’t keep them because the translations are directional and you’ll also need to change ALL your content directly in the new language.

    The default language is the language your content was written in.

    If you want another language to be the first language, then simply enable:

    • Use TranslatePress -> Settings -> Subdirectory for default language -> Yes
    • Reorder the languages
