I had to deactivate WPML plugin and then to change the site language and then again to activate WPML plugin.
You don’t need to switch site language with WPML. When you create a post in admin, select the Bulgarian language by the WPML language switcher in the admin bar: https://prnt.sc/1ucdmfx. Upon saving, the slug will be transliterated by the Bulgarian table: https://prnt.sc/1xddjxi.
