At this time, category restriction is not supported in the plugin.
Weird, because wp-member.com states that the plugin protects posts, pages, and categories. But I still note it’s a very well done plugin. Thanks for answering.
wp-member.com is not related. It’s a commercial (and not open source) product that hijacked the name of an existing plugin.

Still on the subject. I solved partially the problem simply inserting an html code in the first dialog at Dialogs section of WP-Members Settings (visible only when the visitor isn’t logged in), pointing all links in the site menu to the home page. I know, it’s a very poorly improvised hack, once if the visitor knows the address of a particular page, he’ll be able to access it.
I would be grateful if somebody could bring a cleaner alternative.
