…another feature that might also be of interest is the export to xml file feature in your dashboard. Not to be confused with, or to replace backing up your database. You will want to read all of those carefully to understand the differences.

Thank you for responding, ClaytonJames! Perhaps I am too new to this, or too old (since I remember something about FTP from 2000), and now, after 10 years, I discover so many other different ways and I don’t know should I study this new stuff myself, which I really feel reluctant about. Or should I pay somebody to do this for me? I didn’t undestand how to do what I want, to my sadness.

2) Backup your database. Read the information in the second link I gave you.
3) Follow the instructions for “Moving WordPress to a New Server”, in the last link I gave you.
