• I move a content from free blog hosting into godaddy hosting. I installed wordpress in my new domain and host and now want to move the content of the old blog. I encounter the difficulty understanding how to backup the data of the old blog. Confused and lost and wish to have a walk through guidance.

Thank you for responding, ClaytonJames! Perhaps I am too new to this, or too old (since I remember something about FTP from 2000), and now, after 10 years, I discover so many other different ways and I don’t know should I study this new stuff myself, which I really feel reluctant about. Or should I pay somebody to do this for me? I didn’t undestand how to do what I want, to my sadness.
I wish it was really easy. I just need to move my old wordpress content to the new server. How?

I just need to move my old wordpress content to the new server. How?

    1) Backup all your files. Read the information in the the first link I gave you.

    2) Backup your database. Read the information in the second link I gave you.

    3) Follow the instructions for “Moving WordPress to a New Server”, in the last link I gave you.

Failing that, perhaps contact your current host and ask for assistance.
