• Hello,
I am back in my blog again, and I wondered how do you assign a gravatar- when you post a link on Facebook page, there is an option for a gravatar to post with it.

I have tried everything I know how to get a gravatar to assign, but all I get is that blue and white symbol.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • That’s not a Gravatar; Facebook is pulling in the images it finds with the link. Try a Plugin that communicates with the Facebook OpenGraph Protocol, such as Facebook Opengraph.

Chip, I installed opengraph and it still is not giving me the ability to load up photos with it- any ideas for adjustments?

I would ask directly in the Plugin’s support forum.

You have been given some very good suggestions. Please consider following them – and don’t bump.

As I understand your original question: you want to control what images are displayed in Facebook link posts that link to your blog posts?

The Facebook OpenGraph Protocol is the API that controls what images are pulled into the Facebook link. The Facebook Opengraph Plugin is one (of several) Plugins that interact with/manipulate the data sent from your site via the OGP API.

So, if you want to control what images are displayed in Facebook links, then you need to use this Plugin. If you are having issues getting the Plugin to work, you need to request support via the Plugin’s specific support forum, so that the developer will see the question and (hopefully) respond.

If you’re trying to accomplish something different, then let us know, and we can try to suggest something different.
