How to approve testimonials?

Hi – Just installed the plugin. I entered two testimonials which are now showing in the Edit Testimonials area.
I’m seeing the blank testimonial form at the top where I can enter my own.
Below that, under the heading Testimonials, it shows the two I entered. There’s a checkbox under the number of the testimonial, to the left of the trash can. There’s a Bulk Delete button above the testimonials.
How do I approve them? I’ve tried checking the box, but there is no “approved” button, so the check isn’t saved. I tried using the Save Testimonial button, realizing that it’s actually for the input form.
I tried to edit the testimonials by entering the ID number in the update form. That box is grayed out and I can’t enter a number there. I am assuming that the ID is the 1, 2, 3 assigned as the reviews are submitted?
So, the questions are: 1) how to approve a testimonial? 2) How to edit a testimonial – or will the ID number box become active if I have some approved testimonials?? 3) I am not receiving email notification of a new testimonial – I have verified that the admin email is valid, and then I put two different email addresses in the General Options, but still no email notifications.
