How to add YouTube support?

    I have a fresh installation of WordPress 3.0.1.

    None of the functionality described at http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/ is there. When I copy and paste a YouTube video URL in the video upload box, it just inserts it as a link, and the [youtube=whatever] code does not work.

    What do I need to get things working as described in the support page?
