for how to do this in your theme, and how to format the widget area, please ask the developer of the theme for help;

My theme designer support team said it’s possible and suggested google searching adding a widget to a header. their themes are inexpensive and they help you get them up and running, but i might have “used up” all my support questions! eek. such a beginner.
But if I follow that Widgetizing themes tutorial, you think that should work!? we’ll find out I suppose!
do i just copy all the code that’s in my theme already to a text edit doc or something before i change it so that i don’t mess anything up? or…?

They only let you ask a certain amount of questions, when you’re their customer? If you are not familiar with PHP, a simple mistake can send your site down.
hmmm. ok.
i don’t know that there’s a certain amount of questions persay, but she pointed me in the right direction and i didn’t realize it was that complicated. i assumed it had something to do with just editing the css. clearly i was wrong! (you know what happens when you assume.. haha)
anyway, maybe i’ll go back and ask for more help.
i am definitely NOT familiar with php 🙁
although i’m attempting to read that widgets API page now.
