is it possible to hide the author of the events?

Hi,

Yes, but you’d need to edit the single.php or page.php template of your theme to take out that tag.

Hi,

thanks for your fast answer. That would also erase the name from my normal posts, right?
I want to keep it on my normal posts, but not on the events.
Is this possible?

yes, but this requires additional coding on your part where you need to create a custom post type template within your theme eg. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/events-manager-eventslocation-pages-cant-get-sidebar?replies=22
