How does the RSS widget sort

I’m using the WordPress RSS widget to display two “top <X> products in <genre>” type RSS feeds, one from Netflix and one from Amazon. The Netflix feeds displays nicely in numeric order, but the Amazon feed is totally jumbled up, and I can’t for the life of me figure out why. (To see what I mean go to http://otakunopodcast.com and look at the last two widgets in the right column.) If I fetch the RSS feed manually, it appears in the proper order. I’ve even gone so far as to try inserting a Yahoo Pipes pipe between Amazon and my blog to forcibly reorder the feed, but even that’s not working, so I don’t think that’s the problem. (either that or my Yahoo Pipes skills are lacking, which is entirely possible). Does anyone have any ideas?
