    Hi,

I am a little new to WordPress and i am trying to make my desired internet site, so, i have one question to ask. When it comes to “WordFence”, how can i make it active on my site? I mean that, is it enough if i chose the options that i want from the settings on my localhost and later deactivate the plugin and not upload it on my live server, or, should i have it activated and uploaded all the time, even on my live server?

    thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

Wordfence functions as end point protection for your instance of WordPress. We recommend leaving it on at all time. The default settings provide a good level of protection and performance. If you are on a shared host, you may want to disable Live Traffic if you do notice a performance issue. You can always increase the level of security if you notice you are under attack.

You can also export your settings out of your test server and import them into a live server.

Let us know if you have any more questions.

    Thanks!
    Brian
