How does Google know about your Facebook page?

    Hello,

    I keep reading that having a FB page may help your website with SEO. Do you need to put a link to your FB page on your website for it to know about it? Is it in your site index?

    Yes, a backlink from your facebook page to your wordpress site definitely helps. Actually you should link to your wordpress sites from all your social media profiles.

    Thanks – so I don’t need a link from my website to my FB page but my FB to my website is all I need? If so I’ve done this but want to make sure.

    Linking from website to social media is more of informing your website visitors about your social media channels. You can still do it in case some visitors are keen to follow you on social media. Hope this helps.
