    Hello,

I was making edits in my theme editor, and added one too many letters, which has caused my site to crash and I receive the error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_BOOLEAN_OR in /home/content/46/12298546/html/wp-content/themes/klasik/includes/header-function.php on line 13

whenever I attempt to access any of my pages in the admin section. Is there any way to undo this change, or to enter the editing section of the header-function.php page so I can undo the change? I did not create the theme, and do not know if there is a way to upload a new version of the theme.

    The website is http://www.brandsalsa.com.

    Thank you!

  • Access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate. Then you can log back into your admin and fix the theme problem.

The other way you can go about it is to access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/, go into your active themes folder and edit the file that you made the mistake in.

Thank you! The only issue I’m running into is when I try and access the site via FileVilla, I run into an error message as it is “waiting for a welcome message.”

Is this possibly an issue with my FTP host?

What host provider do you use?

This may be a dumb question, but how do I find that?

What company are you paying to display your website? You have to have a host provider in order to have a live website (in less you host your own website). Are you using Bluehost?

Actually – just worked and now it is back up and running. Thanks so much!

Great! Glad you were able to resolve the issue.
