  • The key point to know is that the menu items that you want to use for the scroll will have to be of the LINK type, not a regular Page or Post type, etc.

    So for example, the http://byroncleaning.com/sample-page/ menu item link would be http://byroncleaning.com/#sample-page

    Note the hash character; that is the anchor, and sample-page is the ID that you would give to that section of the page where you want to scroll to.

    The documentation shows how to create the ID using a <div>, but what I use is the Beaver Builder plugin to create my “pages” (sections/rows). You can easily add this ID to each one. Check out the free, lite version here on the WP plugin repo.
