how do i rename images

what would be the best way to do it for seo purposes? i have tried ‘media file renamer auto’ plugin but it doesnt seem to work with elementor.

Best thing is to name your images in an SEO friendly way, before even uploading them to the media library and make sure in the uploading proces to add an SEO friendly Alt tag as well.
When you want to change the image name after they have been uploaded, click edit image in media libray and add the SEO friendly alt tag in there.
And as said in previous comment, this actually is not an Elementor thing -:)
