try editing the header.php and / or style.css
for further help, we would need to see your site to investigate the code, or at least know what theme you are using

Best bet is to use the firebug addon for firefox
Using that you can investigate areas of your page to see what css rules apply, and adjust padding and margins in your css accordingly

Hmmm. Ok I found padding and margins in css. Can I just play around with these numbers which are at zero to find the appropriate margins?

body, board items, header etc…
thx 🙂
As Rev. said, try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of work.

Thanks for your help, if anything I learned how to snoop around in html and about how supportive the WP community is! Very awesome.
