How Do I Create Multiple PermaLinks For 1 Article

I am in the process of revamping my blog and I want to begin to rename all my article to follow a naming convention. I currently use the Permalink setting with the following string “/%category%/%postname%/”. During my revamp the ‘postname’ portion of many of my articles will change.

My concern is that there are lots of incoming links to existing blog pages, and if I rename them, those links will become broken. I would like a WordPress solution that allows the old URLs to forward to the new ones, without me having to write a mod_rewrite rule for each URL.

Does anyone know how I might do this.
