• Alas, I’ve done a lot of reading on this, and I’m still unsure what to do.

I already have a wordpress site running on a WAMP/localhost install.

I’d like to create a different second—and separate—localhost test site for a friend based on the one I already have installed—basically a copy of the one I have now.

Down the road, I will want to upload both these sites to a host server.

Can someone please tell me the easiest way to do this?

    Thanks!

  • Install the second copy in a different sub-folder off your localhost root.

    Ah!

Once again I experience your brilliant mind.

Alas, I’ve been out of commission for the last few days and just now returned to the real world.

As for “localhost root,” on my WAMP/www/wordpress setup, I suppose you mean the “www” folder?

So, would I make a copy of the “wordpress” folder in the “www” folder and rename it, say wordpress2″ or something like that?

Or, would I create a new sub-folder in the “www” folder, say “secondsite” and simply copy the “wordpress” folder into it?

    Thanks
