• I just changed my wordpress theme, and I’ve managed to set up my pages and posts how want them but cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the header/title, which currently says “this is a wordpress theme.” See, I’m not even sure if it’s the title or the header.
Changing the general settings doesn’t help, and I’ve looked through all the coding under Appearance/Editor (and even tried changing some) and can’t figure it out.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Many thanks.

  • Try looking under settings / general settings in your dashboard. It’s either the tagline or title. Hope that helps

the text is actually an image in the theme’s img folder:
    /wp-content/themes/moargh.de__papaver-1.0/papaver-1col/img/this-is-a.png

use a graphics editor to make your own or change the existing image to replace this one –
    175 * 122 px

Making the blog title as image is not SEO friendly!
    edit your header.php file

Thanks everyone! At least I known what the problem is now. But I think I’m going to have to recruit a family member to help me fix it…
