How do I? access questions

I would like to make page access extremely easy for groups of people. I would like to set up a group called ITOPS_Private and only people with that group would be able to access or see any of the content on that page. This would be great if it was as simple as clicking visibility, then private, then select itops_private. I will need to do this with about 6 separate departments.
