hover over menu color change | WordPress.org

when i hover over the drop-down menu and hover over the options i want a darker color. how is this possible? i’ve been playing with the access css for like 2 hours.

thanks for any help!

additionally, if anyone knows how to get the page your on to have a different color on the menu, too, i’d be really grateful.

Do not edit the Twenty Eleven theme. It is the default WordPress 3.2 theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues.

Create a child theme for your customisations. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

Use FTP (or whatever file management application your host provides) to upload a fresh copy of the theme’s folder to wp-content/themes.

ok, so i finally did it! it took me awhile but i’ve accomplished what i once thought was impossible. do you know what i do to change the menu color and the hover color? thanks for any assistance!
