Probably a javascript conflict somewhere. Could you try this with vanilla p2 to see if the issue exists in the parent theme or in Houston?

I’m not sure what you mean by “vanilla P2”, but my P2 parent theme is Version: 1.5.1. It is not possible to compare, as P2 content entry box is always open at the top of the front page.
