@phasar40 You can add the host to the user table and just use a fake email address. We can’t just “write in” a host. They wouldn’t then have a host page assigned to them and be listed with other potential hosts. Just allowing someone to be written in would then spur on someone writing them in multiple times and possibly make a spelling mistake on their name or some other random mishap and then you’ve got the same issue you do with Categories and Tags – people just write duplicate, which is really problematic. There are very good reasons to ensure that a host is registered in the system because of all the places a host name is displayed and how that links to shows. Hosts can be part of multiple shows, so if the host name is registered as an object in the database, then you can connect multiple shows and episodes to that host, as well as feature that host as part of the team. So, just use the User table. Add your host. Assign them as a host, and then select the host on the Show page admin screen.
