    Hi,

If I want to start a webshop, using Generatepress and Woocommerce, can I expect any problems because my webhost has PHP safe mode switched on? If so, what are these problems and will I be better of finding a webhost that doesn’t have this feature switched on?
    Thank you in advance!

    Best regards,

    Vincent

    Hi Vincent,

I’m not entirely sure, but a quick search for “WordPress PHP safe mode” shows me a lot of people wanting their hosting to turn it off, so I assume that WordPress works better without it enabled.

    Hi Tom,

Yes, I’ve also searched and read some of these comments. Currently, I am already running several sites with your excellent Generatepress theme, using the same host and didn’t have any real issues. I was just wondering if adding Woocommerce will effect my new webshop…tel you, what: I will try it and report back here later when I’ve got the site up and running. I’ll then let you and other users know if it in fact does cause problems. For now, I think we can mark this one as closed.

Cheers Tom and once again, thank you for your quick reply.

    Best regadrs,

Good to know that GeneratePress works well with it turned on 🙂

You can always ask the guys at WooCommerce as well – they should know whether it will work with their plugin or not.

    Thanks!
