Homepage suddenyl showing under https until I cleared cache

Any ideas what might cause this my homepage to show under https:
When I looked at source code I saw the following and all links from home were pointing to https:// from the homepage.
<link rel=”canonical” href=”http://www.mydomainname.com/&#8221; />
