My theme WP 5.2.2 Quality Green (free version) on Godaddy. Problem: I see some content in customize your theme when I go to homepage settings (diaporama, services, project settings) but it does not show on the homepage as it used to. All I have is the logo, the menu, the blogs and the footer. I bought security certificates last Friday. After the ssl, the menu was modified, www was gone from my domain name. I redid the menu, added www back. I removed the ssl today to see if that is the source of the problem; the backups show the same problem so it does not seem to be caused by recent WP & extension updates. Cache flushed. I tried to activate the classic editor, choose static homepage then deactivate the classic editor. Didn’t work. I took out the polylang, loco translate extensions.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi, mariellesavard

    Thanks for contacting us!

To do this, follow the below steps:

    1. Create a homepage and assign a business template to it. Refer to this screenshot.

    2. Then Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Homepage Settings and select an “A static page” option. Refer to this screenshot.

Let me know for any confusion!

    Thanks
    Rishabh

It worked thx but now I have a Home in the menu. How can I take it off?

I took off home from the menu. Another problem: I have not received any comments on my blogs and the theme posts ‘no comments’ in english while my site is in french. Do you know how to change that? Also there is a little ‘in’ that I would like in french.

My theme WP 5.2.2 Quality Green (free version) on Godaddy. Does the free version allow for links to affiliates? Example: if a client clicks on a link to a product of another company on my website, is there a way the other company to know this client was sent from my website, http://www.residenconsult.com?

    Hi,

It is the part of link management and it is independent of our theme.
If you want to use this concept then you can use the concept of UTM variables.

“I have not received any comments on my blogs”
For this, refer to this screenshot.

    Thanks

I will ask godaddy what are UTM variables.
I have added what you showed on the screenshot >allow comments> for each post. MY site is new so is there a way to take out the >no comment> until somebody writes a comment?

    thx

    Hi,

Yes, there is a way to take out the no comment until somebody writes a comment.
To do this, you have to create two files in your theme folder.

    1. Create an index-blog.php file, open and paste this code: https://pastebin.com/raw/eNNYLuzr
    2. Create an content.php file, open and paste this code: https://pastebin.com/raw/8F0biY1x

Let me know for any confusion!

    Thanks
    Rishabh

Thx again. Can you provide a screenshot like you did in previous answers to show me where to open and paste the codes.

    Hi,

Go to your WordPress folder >> wp-content >> themes >> quality green

And in this folder, create both files with the same name which I have given in the last comment. After creating files, open it and paste the code given in the last comment. Refer to this screenshot.

    Thanks

the file editor is disactivated so I have to click on I realize the risks…?

    Hi,

Can you please let us know which file editor you are using?

    Thanks

I use the latest version of wordpress on Godaddy. When I go in appearance, then theme editor, I get this message about the risk of editing files

    Hi,

There is no risk, you can do it from there.
Make sure you will do change in only two files content.php and index-blog.php. Refer to this screenshot.

    Thanks

At the right, in css, all I see is default.css. How do I create these 2 files?

    Hi,

Can you please share your admin details at my mail id: jainrishi1991@gmail.com.
So that I will create these two files for you.

    Thanks
