Homepage Defaulting to Subdirectory

Hey there!
I was testing out the “Use a subdirectory for the default language” setting and after I disabled it, my homepage can no longer be found from the front of the site. The rest of the pages work fine but links to the homepage automatically default to /en which results in a 404 error. I’ve looked through the forums and the setting for the plugin but can’t find out where to fix this. It seems like a simple fix but this is my first time using your plugin. Where am I going wrong?
