• Hi There …
I am receiving a 404 Error Message on my homepage for my website http://www.morrisonberries.com

I know it occurred because I deleted the Hello World! page believing that it no longer had anything to do with my website when really it did. My website is a business one with no blogs thus just writing a blog in will not help me here. How do I get back to having the widgits and the photo slider etc.? …Or how do I rebuild my homepage?

    Thank you

  • your home page still exists (from what you describe) it’s just that your hosting doesn’t see the index.php file that it requires to run, you probably got rid of it

FTP into your site and copy a fresh version of wordpress onto your hosting or just replace the files you deleted

What happens, with hostings is that there’s always a ‘fallback’ page when it can’t find the appropriate index.html or index.php files that it needs to serve to the end user.

IMO it sounds like you should be talking to the support with your hosting to see if they can rectify the situation if you are not confident to FTP a fresh copy yourself

If not the above, it looks like youre using Responsive Theme and its home page is set up a bit differently. Check under theme options for the home page – is that box checked?

You might also want to ask on the theme’s dedicated forums here:
