Depends on the content you’re going to be presenting. Profiles for directors and first chair students, performance dates, parent and student information, instrument requirements and where to purchase, and who will be updating the site, etc.
Your theme will need to be able to display information that will be easy to read and quick reading for the impatient parents.
I’d suggest to determine what information will be presented and take it from there. A lot of the free WP themes can do this for you but they will need to be custom set up (in a Child Theme) for your needs.

For a simple Page you can use the free WordPress Theme and just create a Homepage and a seperate Blogpage. You can use Widgets to spice up your Page.
