Hiding text in front page

It’s me, again 😀 and here comes the question. In main settings I set the name of my website but i don’t want to display it because I’m going to place on the top of my website an image. Can I use CSS and display: none; in order to remove my problem. If I decide to use such a command in my CSS will it have any impact on ranking my website?
