Hide / Password Protect Shop Page

Hi,

We have a shop with different product categories, e.g.: photography, translation, tours etc..
For now, until the website is complete, I like to Hide or Password Protect the Shop page,but keep the categories or products pages public.

I tried Woocommerce Memberships and another membership plugin, it did not work. in Woocommerce Memberships under Rules, I chose Page and tried to enter Shop, it did not show the page in the dropdown.

I tried to set the Shop page to Private or Password Protected, also did not work.

for now, if I send a client the link to photoraphy product for example, e.g.example.com/product/flying-ninja/ I want them to be able to buy it. But if they try to access example.com/shop , I want them to see a message that it is password protected.

Is that possible?

or maybe use a redirect page to redirect the Shop page to a coming soon page for example?would they still be able to buy products if they have the link?
