    Hi everyone,

I am looking to exclude pages from the main navigation in wordpress

How can I hide page links from main navigation within storefront theme using code and page ID only (no plugin please).

Not sure what file to edit, seen some reference to use this
    <?php wp_list_pages(‘exclude=7,17’ ); ?> but it looks to be applied to sidebar.php

    Help very welcome

  • Hi, I’m not sure if you’re aware but the main navigation for the theme is controlled in the Appearance->Menus page. From here, you can choose whatever links you want for the main navigation and then assign that menu to the Primary Menu location.

There may be another area you are referring to though as the main navigation. If the above isn’t what you’re looking to modify, are you able to take a screenshot of the area you’re wanting to change and using https://snipboard.io to upload the image and provide the link here?

    Thanks

    Hi @brighterdays19,

As @jarretc said this is best done within WordPress under Appearance > Menus.

Create a menu and add your pages, product categories, etc… and assign it to a location. That gives you full control over the pages you include in your navigation, effectively excluding the pages you don’t want in it. 🙂

We haven’t heard from you in a while, so I’m assuming that the above information helped. I’m going to mark this thread as resolved but please don’t hesitate to start a new thread with any other questions or problems.

I did have a question, if I am looking to get some input on this matter – where would I add it – not sure where to create a new support ticket ! Dear Word Press,
I have a google sheet I am looking to embed in my wordpress site.
    Google Sheet Example
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rXmsZaw_4VB0UtKmq257a7KK7t2ALd8vQMyWHkmD8r0/edit?usp=sharing
The sheet has data validation value tabs to mark the register P / A
The issue I am having is that when I come to embed the google sheet
    link https://www.brighterdays.org.uk/trotts-hill-register/
    January tab for example 01 / 02 /03 etc P / A – validation values are not being shown !?
I need help with this, I have tried a number of plugins but with no joy.
I have looked in all the usual places.
    Input very welcome….
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hey @brighterdays19,

That question would not be anything to do with the Storefront theme.

I’d recommend posting this on the general WordPress support forums which can be found here:
    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Some people there may have some ideas and suggestions for you 🙂
