First, I’d recommend looking into why this category is really needed and see if there’s not a better way to do this outside of using categories.
If a category must be used for reasons, then the solution depends on if you just want to hide the category name/thumbnail, or if you also need to hide all products in that category.

You can manually update to WooCommerce 3.3.1 following this guide: https://woocommerce.wordpress.com/2018/02/01/woocommerce-3-3-1-status-update/#How-do-I-install-the-pre-release-of-331 for the genesis problem.
Could also update the Genesis Connect plugin.

Ugh, nevermind. I attempted to use only shortcode but it wont let me hide everything in the shop page

That will not work. It is for products. And I have my shop display settings set to ‘Show Categories’.
I am looking for a way to just hide a category in my store. Anyone know how to do this?
