This is explained in the other notes section, under “Only Showing List Items When a User Searches”

    Hi xnau,

I totally missed that section, thanks for the pointer. However, is it possible to have just that specific record searched to appear, but not the entire list?

It will only return records that match the search, but the results can be unexpected depending on the actual data in the field and how it is searched.

There is a “strict search” mode that forces the search to match the entire field….that may be more of what you are looking for. What kind of searches are your performing and on what kind of data?

    Hi xnau,

I’m trying to use this plugin to set up a Tracking System, so users can search a certain tracking number (eg, 123) and have just the result for that single piece of record displayed.

I got the strict search function to work. It fetched and displayed the right piece of record. However, once “Clear” is clicked to begin a new search, it displayed everything in the database. Any idea why?

    Thanks!

This seems to be a bug. It worked for me if I had AJAX searching enabled.

Got this on my list of fixes, thanks for pointing it out.
