Is it possible to hide event list on the date in which the event starts?
e.g. if my event starts today 1st july, I don’t want it to show no longer in the page (only future events must be shown, e.g. from 2nd july).

Actually in “upcoming” the actual day is included. Probably I will add an option to change this behavior in a future version.

But you can already do it now with the correct date filter:
[event-list date_filter=+1_day~2999]

I tested your filter but this is the result:
“Fatal error: Call to undefined method EL_Db::check_date_range() in ../wp-content/plugins/event-list/includes/db.php on line 296”

This issue is already fixed since version 0.6.9 (see this commit). You should update to the latest version.
