Please can you let me know how to remove the option for displaying the dashboard widget to certain user roles?

I am giving some users “subscriber” access to my site, but I don’t want them to see the Popup Maker dashboard widget with analytics details. I know they can choose to hide it, but I don’t want them to see it in the first place, or even have the option to see it.

    Thank you,
    Charles

    Hi @crawford4,

Are you assigning the default Subscriber WordPress role to these users? If yes, then you don’t have to worry, since Popup Maker is only visible to Administrators and Editors, and the Analytics page is only visible to Administrators.

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have other questions. ☺️

    Hi Kim,

Not so! You might be talking about the admin menus, which are indeed hidden. I am talking about the dashboard widget. I logged in as a subscriber myself and checked—please see this screenshot: https://i.postimg.cc/B63pYCk0/popup-widget.png

    Thank you,
    Charles

    Hi @crawford4

Thanks for the additional details and screenshot!

If you want to hide the Popup Maker dashboard widget from your subscribers, you can use the free version of PublishPress Capabilities plugin.

It lets you control what different user roles can see, including dashboard widgets.

Look for “Popup Analytics” under Capabilities > Admin Feature Restrictions > Hide Dashboard Widgets.

Please note that this plugin is a third-party product and is not developed or maintained by our team.

We hope this helps. Let us know if you have other questions.
