    Hi!

    Ref: DMSGuestBook

    I need some help with the following. Keep in mind I am no programmer at all, so if you could show me the exact coding and where I have to change it, that would be excellent!

    1) I would like to hide the Comment “Count” on top of the page ((3) and a 1), AND hide it also for each comment, so that we can see only the Name, Date and comments. Is it possible?

    2) Can I change the color of the background for the comment box?
    3) Where can I change the font?
    4) Can I put text between the Comment section, and the post section? Example: Sign our Guestbook by filling out the form below…
    5) I would like to hide the WEBSITE box in the posting section.

    Thanks in advance for your assistance!

    Hi islandrose

    1) I’ve changed all files for you, download it, extract it and copy the content in your dmsguestbook folder.

    2) Yes, DMSGuestbook -> Guestbook settings -> CSS, Box nr. 9 (css_form_messagefield)
    Add a new line with following content: background-color:#ff0000;
    #ff0000 is the color which you want to use for the comment box -> Use a ColorPicker

    3) DMSGuestbook -> Guestbook settings -> CSS

    4) Yes, I’ve added you an example in template/form/default.tpl

    5) It’s removed

    Greetings,
    Dani

    I’ve changed all files for you, download it, extract it and copy the content in your dmsguestbook folder.

    Hi Dani, So that I don’t make any mistakes here.
    I download/extract the new files in the dmsguestbook folder on my computer, correct? Should I update the files on my WP? Sorry, just really new at this…Thanks so much…

    The content of dmsguestbook folder of the zip file goes to the dmsguestbook folder where you have the homepage installed.

    In your case:

    Thank you Dani for all your help. I had someone do it for me as this is out of my reach at this point.

    One last thing: If I wanted, by myself, modify the text that appears between the comment box and the post section (Ref. #4 above), where do I do it? Again, you will have to be very specific (links, etc…).

    Thanks again!

    Thanks Dani but that is not what I was looking for.

    Look at the following link, you will see the text at the bottom that says: Sign our guestbook by filling out the form below…
    http://www.islandroseroatan.com/about/guestbook/

    2) on my FR website: I would also like to delete some of the space between my Introduction and the Fill out Form and the “-” sign: http://www.islandroseroatan.com/fr/a-propos/temoignages-clients/

    Thanks so much!

    I was able to open the .tpl file with a file viewer and I do see the text in there… How I go from reading this file to actually accessing the content and modifying it? Should I be using some kind of FTP server? I try to see it under the Editor for the DMSguestbook plugin but can’t find it…:(

    Open this file with an text editor and modify it. After that you have to copy that on your ftp server.

    Thank you Dani, it all works well!

    Hello Mr Daniel and thank you for making an amazing Guestbook. The thing for which I am posting this message is that I need your help about the DMS Guestbook. I have installed the DMS Guestbook into a website of mine. The Guestbook works pretty well.

    But is there any way for the admin to reply to the posts of the Guest directly from the Guestbook page. I know there is a way of doing so by going to the Edit Html menu from the Entry of the DMS Guestbook. But is it possible to reply in response to the Guestpost directly from the Guestbook Page?

    Will be looking forward to hear from you. Thanks a lot.
