Hide category from

I want to enable the category but I don’t want to show it to be available to search function yet, so I added in the shortcode to hide it but the search button are still being pushed below under other two search fields: Keywords and Regions as if the category field is still up there but only hidden. How do I get it to back to be next to Region dropdown like if category field is not there at all? Thanks
