Hide Categories?

    Hello –

    I’m being a little bit anal-retentive, but in my theme, there were several categories that were preset. As I’ve been populating my own information, I don’t really want to delete those original categories as I might want to use them later.

    But if I use the Categories widget it will include all of the categories (old and new).

    Is there any way to hide those old ones that I don’t have any data linked to without deleting them? Thanks!

    There’s a few plugins for that, do a plugin search with the terms “exclude category(ies)” or “hide-category(ies)”

    Some will hide only from the lists, some will hide from searches too.

    Thank you! Found Hide Categories. It helped me to realize the problem was in the settings on the widget as well. This is perfect.
