how do i put smilies onto my popup comments page?

I know that you need WP_Grins to active smilies in comments. Though, I’m not sure if it works the same for popup comments. http://www.alexking.org/index.php?content=software/wordpress/content.php

just add the same fetch code that you put into your index.php
