• Hello,

The past few years the number of users on our website ([ redundant link removed ]) has varied quite a bit, climbing far down for several months, then eventually climbing back up, then eventually repeating this process, with no obvious monthly or annual patterns. This year, the numbers have been worse.

We have optimized our images using Smush and have tried configuring our caching plugin using WP Fastest Cache, as well as disabling a variety of plugins to see if the website speeds up as we try other SEO steps.

However, we don’t know how to remedy poor scores on some areas of Google’s Page Speed Insights such as First Contentful Paint, Largest Contentful Paint, and Cumulative Layout shift. In addition, GTMetrix and other analytic sites give us error messages that we don’t know how to remedy.

We would really appreciate any help to identify and rectify whatever needs attention.

dougbrittonbooks.com is hosted on InMotion Hosting (Managed VPS Hosting). It is a WordPress website using the Divi theme (purchased from Elegant Themes).

    Thank you.
