Help with Meta Title and Description?

Hello,
Can anyone help me with changing my meta title and description? If you look up my site on Google, “Katie’s Portfolio” comes up twice but I only want the first one.
And also my personal details come up in the description when I want to change it to a sentence about the portfolio.
I’ve tried a few plugins that say they change the meta description but no luck with that, and the Yoast plugin has no free option to change it.
I’m also trying to hide my portfolio from coming up altogether in search but it still comes up when I type the name into Google.Here’s what it does: https://imgur.com/a/1igRrhi
Anyone know what to do?
