[NSFW] Help with DOM manipulation

    Hello,

    I am looking for help with decreasing an excessive DOM size on my WordPress website. This is causing my site to load slow.

    Statistics:
    Total DOM Elements: 4083
    Maximum DOM Depth: 35
    Maximum Child Elements: 115

    I am reading many beginner articles and videos about DOM manipulation, but I have 2 questions:

    1. I am afraid this may be too complex for me and would need some help. What type of person should I look for? Someone who understands Javascript?
    2. If I do it myself, where in wordpress would I do the actual manipulations? Which file?
