Help with customising crafty cart theme

Hi,
I’m setting up a site using the craft cart theme and the upgrading WP e-commerce pluggin.

I only know basic html but have managed to make a few adjustments to the site, however am having problems with a couple of display issues.

1. How do you increase the height of the sidebar? Seems to only be as big as the content in the two widgets – product categories and shopping cart

2. How do I add widgets to the sidebar and have it appear with the same background? (in this case blue). It just pushes the blue down and uses the background image. Eg I wanted to move the ‘search’ bar to the top.

3. How do I move the navigation tabs on the top (in red)? I want them to attach themselves above the top right of the content page.

Any help would be great. The draft site is at http://www.cherrybliss.com.au. It’s very much a work in progress but I need to go live asap.
