Help with adding elements to my theme

I’m trying to add elements to my page, #box1 and #box2, I have included the css within my default theme css style but its not doing anything, do I have to add a php code to one of the other php files, and if so which one and how do I do it? please help, thanks! http://www.reptonfc.com
