• I attempted to change both WordPress address (URL) and site address (URL) from

    vksvirtuoso.co.uk to http://www.vksvirtuoso.co.uk

WordPress logged me out as expected but I could not log back in – 404 error

I then removed WordPress and reinstalled hoping this would solve problem – it did not.

I then went on to C-Panel, php myadmin to change URL and home back to vksvirtuoso.co.uk but it had not changed to http://www.vksvirtuoso.co.uk

When I then tried to log into WordPress from website it gave this message:

    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@vksvirtuoso.co.uk and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

What do i need to do to fix this? Please help!

I would appreciate any help or advice. Thank you!

    Thanks esmi

When I go on to my cpanel my URL had not changed still (vksvirtuoso.co.uk) and when I go onto my website this is what the domain name says.

Do I still need to do as you say above if the URL reads correct?

    Thanks.

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

And try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Error 500 is too generic to be of any use. Your hosts should be able to help you in accessing your site’s error logs.
