HELP system not working since move to Linux

    Dear WordPress.org forum

    My hosting company, following my request, has just move my hosting from a windows machine to a linux machine.

    But now I

    * Cannot access any file under wp-admin, i.e. cannot edit posts etc.

    I can see the wp-admin directory ok, so it looks like that was copied ok.
    permissions is 755

    What else could be wrong ??

    using debugging proxy tool, I can see browser is being responded a

    500 Internal Server Error
